Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway

Join us a the No.1 Tourist Attraction in North East Lincolnshire as rated by visitors on TripAdvisor. Established in 1948, the award-winning Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway has been delighting old and young alike for generations.

Sit back and enjoy a 4 mile return journey along the picturesque Humberside Coast on one of Britain’s oldest seaside miniature railways. Travel behind our fleet of historic steam and diesel locomotives for a return journey of approximately 45 minutes.

There are three stations along the line:

Cleethorpes Kingsway, adjacent to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre features a well-stocked gift shop selling souvenirs.

Lakeside is the hub of the railway, found hallway along the line. Home to the Signal Box Inn – The Smallest Pub On The Planet! At just 8×8 square feet and seating just four people at a time, offering a huge range of guest ales and ciders. There’s no surprise it’s CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year 2017! For a bite to eat, why not check out Platform One Café? Selling a range of delicious hot and cold food, from the popular full Lincolnshire breakfast, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and specials of the day. There’s also the option of snacks and a fabulous choice of refreshments. The Café has been awarded a five star hygiene rating and is open on all operating days.

At the end of the line, you will find Humberston Station. Popular with walkers and bird watchers, the station has some outstanding views of the Humber Estuary. This is an ideal location for holiday makers staying on Thorpe Park, this is the closest station!

Regular special events are held throughout the year which includes Day Out With Thomas, Folk & Cider Festival, Rail, Ale & Blues Festival and the ever popular Santa Specials.
